If you don't see a page on startup, these items still launch and run in the background as the Mac logs into a default profile. ![]() A quick Google of the filename should let you know what it does and if it's important. ![]() If you have decided to remove a file, it's a very good idea to check first that you will not need it anymore. For this, select unneeded launch agents and items and click Remove. You can even remove startup items from your Mac if you wish. Select unneeded apps and switch their toggle buttons or click the Disable button. You'll see a list of apps (and even files and folders) that open every time you log in.
